Nighttime by the water
The music echoes through the woods
The ritual never really rests out here
Secluded from the confines
Of routines and closed minds
Our everyday worries disappear
Delight in the diversion
That embodies us as one
Dancing supersedes sleep
As the moon surrenders to the sun
Awoken from a strange dream
At least, that’s what I think it was
I realize it’s impossible to tell
Days are like songs now
Flowing into each other
Like the ocean’s incessant swell
Then I saw flowers
Climbing up an angel’s leg
Trying with all their might to reach the sky
Completely mesmerized
The bright elation that I felt
Was mirrored my the kindness in her eyes
Delight in the diversion
