"The Fantastical Flight of Captain Delicious"

There he stands
In fancy pants and gilded helmet
He commands
Respect with every gaze
He’s called Captain Delicious
From Columbia way
In his hands
The paper key to dreams sequestered
He understands,
His purpose, so it seems:
To expose what’s artificial
In a luminescent world
Weeding out the superficial
Leaving egos spun and twirled
When Captain Delicious flies
(They made him a pilot)
He enlightens us from the sky
(commercial not private)
Then Captain Delicious cries
“Now you’re on your own.”
Alice stares
Out through the wall in psychic grandeur
She’s aware
Of all you’ll never know
You can call it intuition
Magic’s much more apropos
When Abby sired Alice
He was leery of the girl
He could see the threat of malice
But Delicious saw the world
Now when Captain Delicious flies
(With the power of Alice)
Enlightening from the sky
(In a peppermint chalice)
Then Captain Delicious cries:
“We can not wait,”
Delicious brays,
“Perception has confined our race
We must evolve
We must escape
We can be saved”
“We can not wait,”
Delicious yells,
“The world is crying for our help
I am alive to foster change
Alice was made to show the way.”
